Apple search demand
Find where demand is.
Browse Apple's own weekly search rankings for a storefront, narrowed to the demand one developer can realistically serve — or check any term you already have in mind.

AppRaven starts from what people actually type into the App Store, then shows who already serves that demand, how well, and what they keep getting wrong.
A complete research loop for a single developer: measured demand, competitors read from the challenger's side, and a plan scoped to the time you actually have.

Evidence, not instinct
Explore the synchronized catalogue, read what thousands of reviews keep repeating, and compare up to four competitors to find which one is the softest target.
Confident execution
Turn the strongest opportunity into a scored verdict, an MVP scope, ordered milestones and a prompt ready for Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
The intelligence layer
Nine connected capabilities, one research loop — from Apple's own search rankings to a documented go / no-go decision.
Apple's own weekly App Store search rankings, on its 1–100 scale, filtered by intent: buildable utilities, unmet needs, or brand searches you cannot win.
A short questionnaire on your stack, time and appetite for competition returns two to three sub-niches, each scored on eight criteria against the real catalogue.
Filter synchronized App Store metadata by category, storefront, rating, review volume, price and launch date — with everything one developer cannot take on hidden by default.
Ratings, versions, screenshots, market coverage, in-app purchases and a ranged revenue estimate that states its own method.
Recurring complaints, praise and the features users explicitly ask for, extracted from Apple's public review feed.
Compare up to four apps from the challenger's side: the softest target, the ground nobody occupies, the complaint nobody fixes.
Save apps, group them per opportunity and keep the reasoning right next to the evidence that produced it.
A scored verdict, an MVP scope, ordered milestones, monetisation and launch angle — plus a prompt to paste into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
On Pro: rating drops, review spikes, price and subscription changes, new versions, chart entries and search-demand shifts.
The difference
Most apps are lost before the first line of code — on an idea nobody verified. Same effort, same developer, two very different starting points.

Sources & method
A research tool that hides its sources is a tool you cannot argue with. Here is exactly what AppRaven measures, what it estimates, and what it refuses to claim.
Search demand is Apple's weekly ranking on a relative 1–100 scale, not a third-party volume estimate. Apple publishes nothing below its eligibility threshold, and AppRaven says so when a term falls under it — that absence is an answer, not a gap.
Metadata, pricing, in-app purchases, screenshots and reviews come from Apple's public endpoints, and every card carries the date it was last synchronized. Apple's review feed caps at fifty reviews per app; the Pro plan gives you all fifty and never claims more.
Apple publishes no competitor downloads or revenue. AppRaven reads revenue from the top-grossing chart and downloads from the top-free one — each figure from the ranking that actually measures it — calibrated separately for each of the fifteen tracked categories. It returns a range, never a single number dressed up as a measurement, and stays silent for an app the charts do not reach.

FAQ
Everything worth knowing before you trust a research tool with your next six months of work.
Browse Apple's weekly search-demand rankings, run a niche questionnaire, explore the iOS catalogue, read what reviews keep repeating, compare competitors from the challenger's side, and turn the best opportunity into a scored build plan with a ready-to-paste AI prompt.
Solo developers and indie hackers looking for an app opportunity one person can ship and charge for. Every ranking is tuned for what a single developer can realistically enter, not for the largest market.
Not by default. Major publishers, markets locked past 200,000 ratings, licensed content catalogues and regulated activities are filtered out of the explorer and out of the niche questionnaire, each with the reason spelled out. They stay one click away — a locked competitor's recurring complaints still make a useful backlog — but they are never offered as targets.
iOS, across five storefronts: the United States, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan. Each one is synchronized independently, so an app present in one and absent from another shows up as exactly that.
From Apple's own weekly search popularity data. It is a relative 1–100 scale where 100 is the most searched term of the market — Apple publishes no absolute search count, and AppRaven never invents one.
As an explicit estimate, never as a measurement. Revenue is modelled from an app's rank in Apple's top-grossing chart, downloads from its rank in the top-free chart, with a level calibrated separately for each of the fifteen tracked categories. You always get a range and the method behind it — and nothing at all when the app sits outside both charts, because that silence is itself an answer.
Pro is $19 per month or $190 per year through Stripe, and it is cancelled from Settings in one click. There are two plans, no third tier and no sales call.
Yes. A build plan and its AI prompt can be opened through a private link that needs no account, and you can revoke that link at any time. Live team workspaces and data export are not part of the current preview.
